It's nice to see this sort of research being conducted. Wind energy is
viable, clean, plentiful and can even be cost effective with today's
larger wind turbines. So why isn't wind energy more popular? It has a
large up-front cost, and that makes it hard for investors to swallow.
But once you build the wind farm, you get virtually free energy, year
after year, with very little additional invesment. The barriers to
widespread wind energy aren't technical, they're political.
